Er. Saravanan has delivered a Guest Lecture on the topic Synergizing Wind Energy Integration: Collaborative Strategies with Smart Grid Engineers

This event was organized by Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering,

The guest lecture titled " Synergizing Wind Energy Integration: Collaborative Strategies with Smart Grid Engineers " took place on 21.02.2024 at III EEE A class. The event was organized by EEE Department Mrs.S.Laxmi, Assistant Professor/EEE was the coordinator for this event. Dr.A.Ravi, HOD/EEE was the Convener for the event. The lecture aimed to explore the collaborative approaches between wind energy integration and smart grid engineering to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of renewable energy utilization. He discussed the challenges associated with the intermittent nature of wind energy and the importance of devising effective strategies to integrate it into the existing energy grid seamlessly. The role of smart grid engineers in facilitating the integration of wind energy was highlighted. The lecture elaborated on how smart grid technologies can enhance grid flexibility, optimize energy storage, and enable real-time monitoring and control of renewable energy sources, including wind farms. He concluded with a discussion on future directions and opportunities in synergizing wind energy integration with smart grid engineering. Emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and Internet of Things (IoT) were highlighted as potential enablers for further enhancing the integration process. Overall, 35 students actively participated and the event served as a platform for exchanging ideas, networking, and exploring innovative solutions to accelerate the transition towards a sustainable energy future.
